Happy Anniversary from A Daily Foodie Haiku

Today is my 11th wedding anniversary. Love is lovelier the second time around, and it is a day to celebrate. My bride and I are off to romantic Branson, MO for a much needed little break in our lives. I will be celebrating tonight with a dinner/dance cruise and need all my energy for the things that you young people imagine young (at heart) lovers can accomplish once a year.

So, no blog posting from me today, but I had a blogging buddy volunteer to be a guest blogger.

A DAILY FOODIE HAIKU has volunteered to write a poem to give me some much needed rest. Daily Foodie is new to the blogging world (two months), but has been steadily building a very impressive batch of poems, all related to our hobby. Click HERE to take a look at his growing (hasn't missed a day since he started) body of work, and honor his commitment.

So, thanks Daily, and come back again tomorrow for another guest blogger...

From A Daily Foodie Haiku... On the surface, a Haiku poem is very simple, 3 lines, 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second and 5 again in the third. But in that short space, a picture should be told. The poem should take you on a journey. Often, a surprise juxtaposition ending, or at the least, a story is told, with a beginning, middle and end. Thanks Dave, have fun on your special day, and thanks for letting me share my hobby..

  5. Happy Anniversary! Thanks so much for visiting my blog as I now know where to get grilling lessons! My hubby and I are definitely NOT the grill masters so I am very excited to dig into your blog :)

Chris - you did a great job! so, are you gonna leave dinner for the happy hubby and wife so they don't have to cook when they get home?
